Sườn kho trứng cút (braised pork riblets with quail eggs) #Recipe 👇🏻 #Swipe ➡️ : : Suon kho Ingredients * 2 pounds baby-back or pork spare ribs, cut into small 1- to 1 1/2 inch cubes * 1 dozen cooked quail eggs * 2 cloves minced garlic * 1 large shallot chopped * 1 tablespoons kosher salt * 1 teaspoons ground black pepper * 4 tablespoons sugar * 3 tablespoons fish sauce * 1/2 cups coconut juice * 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water (set aside) * Black pepper, chopped green onions for garnish Directions 1. Bring a small pot of water to a boil and boil the ribs for 2 or 3 minutes to remove impurities. 2. Place the ribs into a colander, rinse thoroughly and drain. 3. Season the ribs with the garlic, shallots, salt and ground pepper then set aside to marinate for 30 minutes. 4. Heat a nonstick wok over medium heat, then add the sugar to evenly coat the bottom of wok. 5. Wait patiently as the sugar melts and turns into a caramel color. 6. Add the fish sauce and ribs to the wok and stir until the sugar coats all of the ribs evenly—about 5 minutes. 7. Add the coconut juice and cover. 8. Let the ribs simmer, covered, over medium-low heat for 20 minutes while occasionally stirring. 9. Remove the lid, add quail eggs and continue to stir for an additional 15 to 20 minutes over medium heat, or until the liquid reduces by half. 10. Mix cornstarch and water well and add slowly while stirring. Let simmer for another 5 min. so the sauce can thicken and form a glaze. 11. Adjust with additional sugar or fish sauce, as needed. 12.
